Dental Veneers

What Are Dental Veneers?

Dental veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite resin that are custom-made to cover the front surface of your teeth. They can dramatically improve the appearance of teeth that are stained, chipped, worn, uneven, or have gaps between them. Veneers provide a natural-looking, long-lasting cosmetic transformation.

Traditional porcelain veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed from the tooth surface to create room for the veneer. The restored teeth look very natural and beautiful. This process is irreversible, so it is important to discuss all options with your dentist before proceeding.

Types of Veneers We Offer

At JS Family Dental, we offer several veneer options to fit your needs and budget. Traditional porcelain veneers provide the most dramatic and long-lasting results. They are highly stain-resistant and can last 15 years or more with proper care. Lumineers are an ultra-thin alternative that often require little to no tooth preparation, making them a more conservative option.

We also offer composite veneers, which are made from the same bonding material used in tooth-colored fillings. Composite veneers can be completed in a single visit and cost less than porcelain, making them an accessible option for patients who want cosmetic improvement without the higher investment of porcelain.

What to Expect

The veneer process typically requires two visits. At the first appointment, your teeth are prepared, impressions are taken, and temporary veneers are placed. Your custom veneers are fabricated at a dental lab, which usually takes one to two weeks. At the second visit, the temporary veneers are removed and the permanent veneers are bonded in place.

Unique to every patient, Lumineers or traditional-prep veneers may be the best technique to give you the optimal smile for a lifetime. Schedule a consultation at JS Family Dental to discuss which option is right for you. Call (214) 548-5400 or book online.

Dramatic Transformation

Veneers can completely reshape your smile in just two visits. They correct multiple cosmetic concerns at once, from discoloration to gaps to chips.

Stain-Resistant

Porcelain veneers resist staining from coffee, tea, and wine far better than natural teeth, keeping your smile bright for years.
