Emergency Dentist in McKinney, TX
Dental emergencies do not wait, and neither do we. Walk-ins welcome or call ahead.

Same-Day Emergency Dental Care
A broken tooth, a knocked-out filling, or sudden severe pain can happen at any time. At JS Family Dental, we reserve time in our schedule for emergency patients so you can be seen as quickly as possible. Walk-ins are accepted, but calling ahead at (214) 548-5400 helps us prepare for your arrival.
Our McKinney dental team handles a wide range of dental emergencies, including cracked or chipped teeth, loose or lost crowns and fillings, abscesses and infections, severe toothaches, injuries from accidents or sports, and broken dental restorations. We will assess your situation, manage your pain, and develop a treatment plan to restore your smile.
What to Do in a Dental Emergency
If a tooth is knocked out, handle it by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently, and try to place it back in the socket. If that is not possible, keep it moist in milk or saliva and get to our office within 30 minutes for the best chance of saving the tooth. For a cracked tooth, rinse with warm water and apply a cold compress to reduce swelling.
If you are experiencing facial or neck swelling from an infected tooth, especially after hours or on weekends, please go to the nearest emergency room. Severe infections can spread rapidly and require immediate medical attention. For non-life-threatening emergencies outside of office hours, email us at [email protected]. We monitor email around the clock and the doctor will respond.
Do Not Ignore Dental Pain
Dental problems rarely resolve on their own. A small chip can become a crack, a minor cavity can reach the nerve, and an untreated infection can spread to other parts of the body. Early treatment is almost always simpler, less painful, and less expensive than waiting. If something does not feel right, call us. We would rather see you for a false alarm than have you suffer through a worsening situation.
Walk-Ins Welcome
No appointment needed for dental emergencies. Call ahead if possible so we can prepare, but walk-ins are always accepted during office hours.
After-Hours Support
Email us anytime at [email protected]. We check email 24/7 and the doctor will respond to urgent situations outside office hours.
Fast Pain Relief
We prioritize getting you out of pain first, then develop a treatment plan to fully address the problem and prevent it from recurring.
